Backwater Study 8x10 oilThis is the same area as the last post except now I'm painting from the bank looking down at the water. This was painted two years earlier, as you can see its full of water now. I was trying to capture the feeling of a hot humid morning. I did my best not to overwork the reflections in the water.

Nice painting, I love the earthy colors...I would love to learn how to oil paint, but that is just one more thing to add to my laundry list of wishes! Thanks for sharing!
