Finally Finished

Flyfishing,  A Jumper ,  16x20 oil

I finally finished this painting, it sat half finished for months while I started and finished other paintings. It gave me time to look it over and make neccessary adjustments that I didn't see the first time around.
A self portrait of sorts, being in a place like this is good therapy for the body and mind.
Thanks for looking,
Pat

You really captured the look with deep water shadows contrasting the dancing sunlight in the foliage. Isn't it a great feeling to finally finish a lingering painting? Kudos.

Thanks for the kind words Susan,
yes it does feel good to put a finish on a painting, now I only have five more to go!!!

I like the way this leads into the river in the composition and keeps the eye on the catch! nice
