Fly fishing art,



I haven't posted anything in a while, I have been painting…. just not posting anything.
I find myself looking at finished paintings (or what I thought was finished) and seeing things that could be improved.
The painting below went through three different changes, I think this is the final version. This is one of the streams we fish in upsate Pa.

Superb, evocative painting Pat. Figures really do add interest to a landscape, especially when they are actually doing something, as here. You've done a great job with this.... makes me want to get the rods out!!!

I really love the way you have captured the light in this one. Was that an area you worked on? I find digging out older paintings to rework the way to really see my personal growth.

Hi Julie, yes that was the area that I worked on, it just needed a shaft of sunlight for contrast.
