Painted these last night at sunset. I wanted to find a spot looking across the lake showcasing the last rays of sunlight. All I had to do was turn to the left to paint the moon scene.

- My art is inspired by nature. I always had a love for the outdoors so it was just natural that my art followed that direction. I paint both on location and in the studio. My outdoor work is necessary for capturing the different qualities of light and the ever changing moods of nature. My studio work is fed by all the information I get from painting outdoors, except now I have time to think and plan at a more leisurely pace.I head to the outdoors as a stress reliever and that is exactly what my paintings are about-a peaceful retreat from life’s hectic pace.

I'm finally getting caught up with some of your latest and as always, find them soothing and well done. I like the softness of the color palette in these latest landscapes. Looks like your wife is catching all the fish though! Fun video too :)
