Moon painting
Moon Reflections 8x10 acrylic
I wanted to experiment a little more with the moon and its reflections trying to capture a quiet mood.
By keeping the shapes big and most of the values close together I was able to accomplish a feeling of peacefulness in the painting.
I used the plein air sketch from the last post as reference and adjusted things from there.

What a lovely painting, Pat! It just drew me right in.
Silvery and calm. nice effects of subtle and shimmery light Pat
I like how the moon appears to be floating on the clouds.
